Blah. I better start back blogging before my blog dies out.
Well, explaination for the lack of time for blogging goes back to the 16 working hours each day.
But no complains about the long working hours.
Personally I've felt that grown up much more and able to think broader.
The few Changes.
Hmm.

Well , for a start I start to browsing reuters for more updates and news on the economy.

Coffee's your best friend at work but dun't overabuse it.

Dinner starts only after 8 pm and can be as late as 12 at night.

Sometimes your first meal and only meal is your dinner.

I'm starting to appreciate the feeling of just staying home away from office rather than the bustling crowd in town.

I so fucking miss the comfortable feeling of wearing jeans and T-shirts.

My phone bill's gonna hit the ceiling this month.

I'm missing all my American Dramas :(
L-word, Les Vegas, Legal Boson, CSI, Grey's anatomy
Someone pls pass them to be if u got the dvd sets.

I miss my "2Kgs" that was with me during my last 4 years.

There's nice ppl out there who'll look out for you. Fortunately there's my colleagues and mean ppl which shan't be mentioned.

Shopping is usually possible during the weekends.

Same goes for exercising as well. Definately made a mandatory routine on my weekend to do list.

Though this list may seem to indicate that working life's a bitch, but hey, if u love your job and what you're doing. .. ..you wun't really mind missing all these out.

Well. There's lots of changes that is going to be coming around these few days.
For a start, I'll be needing a new clean hair cut look. It would not be too short. In fact I'll ask for a trim that makes it look as if I had a hair cut few weeks back. Hope that I do get a get hair stylist for this matter.

Next up would may be some eye brow plucking. Yes I'm being a little bit metrosexual here. But not that close enough for gayhood. I'm just those guys that appreciate the importance of first impression and how greatly it counts. Especially for the line that I would be in. So maybe I'll meet up with Lisa. She's the eye brow specialist which I used to patron last time. Her skills are pretty well honed. Well at least I would think so. I mean like what do we dislike most in eyebrow plucking. Precisely, it is pain. So Lisa does the plucking in the most swift and painless manner and what's more she knows which best brow shape to suit our appearance. Usually appointments need to be made in a day advance to as to fit in to her slot.

So next would be some clothes to add to the wardrobe family. I've heard that Raoul at change alley has a sale upcoming. It's like $200 for 3 sets of clothes. Ya. it's almost freaking Xpensive.
Still pretty much undecided about whether should I spurge that kind of dough on it. People tell me that things like clothes are good investment, clothes maketh a man out of u. Maybe I'll just comfort myself by saying that dun't worry, it's paid for by the government (progress package). Else I guess I would be settling for maybe some G2000 instead. They got pretty some pretty cool selection too.

Pants pants. This I'm not too sure. The best fitted one for me was is the one I've got from top shop. Well maybe I'll check out G2000 and some other areas too. I'll be checking out some straight pleated types. Loose ones then to look bad on me I feel.

So comes ties. I've never underestimated ties anymore. It kind of played an important role in my last interview especially. The one that I wore was "new look" type from Goldlion. It was on offer at Bugis Seiyu. It's grey base with multifacets of grey line gradients. Goes well with the white shirt I wore which was from Raoul. That is why I so luv their shirts. Drool. Patter flair embedded's pretty much awesome and attractive.

Lastly may be some metallic frame specs. Maybe a frameless type. Should be dropping by Eugene's store for this. My plastic frame spectacles probably may not be acceptable. Least that's what friends in similar field cautioned me about.

Working life

Yeah. Gonna embark on the stage of less partying and bumming around.
Finally made it through the last interview at citigroup.
It was for the position educational loan specialist.
They made the offer and I'll be heading down monday to start work.
Well, I'm just kinda quite excited and pensive about how things going to be and hope that I'm up to what's going. Guess aside burnt wkends and long working hours, it ain't gonna be too bad. .i hope.

Today's going to be shopping and haircut day. :D
Weather's bit gloomy though. hmm. .Most probably will just do shopping at J8 today.

Well.
Apparantly one of the benefits of blogging is that it allows us to have a reality check.
On seeing that the my posting frequency has been dwindling, sent a despondant distress signal to myself. I think life has been quite unpredictable lately and a new milestone in life is being set up. Where I'll be and what I'll be in the next God knows 1-2 years down the road, will be determined by my actions this month.
That is why not really in the best of blogging mood to keep up my postings.

Had a throughly fun weekend this week.
With all talks about politics going around it really tops things up.
One of the highlight of weekend was chalet at Aloha resort.
Thanks to Liting for giving us the civil servant discount rate.
More beers and food would not have been possible if not for it.
Mr Lee and Chen the organizers for initiating and getting things going.

Thanks to less than 2 hours of sleep, not much liqor and booze was needed to get myself bit drunk. Had couple of great beer games e.g beer pingpong. Polling results was out the same time, so it kept us entertained too.

FYP presentation went well and smooth yesterday.
Surprising one of my most dreaded supervisor was in a damn good mood yesterday.
Usually he would be quite "guai lan" one.
That even he admits it up upfront to me yesterday.
But lightning strike yesterday. He was kinda helping me out even in my presentation and Q&As even. hahaha.
So evening time went out with the guys for celebrations.
Went for some pool and chill out at Balcony.
Ambience was nice, surprising there wasn't many people during their one for one period which was before 9pm.
However, aside a good time yesterday, I got more than what I bargained for.
Allergic Conjunctivitis aka SORE EYE.

Guess my contact lenses attribute to part of it. So so so , i'll be changing over to daily lenses. Cleaner and lesser irritants.

Guess i gotto hibernate mysewith some books these two days.

Book which I've just finished up.

However I've just got another book to start on for the moment.

At the end of the day, we'll be the one to eventually break down and fall flat.

Had this most unpleasent encounter with a lady on the road today with Leon.
He was driving down Yio Chu Kang Gym, coz Bishan one's totally packed out by the rafflesians.
So on the way down at traffic light near Bishan park we halt. It was on a slope and there was a Suzuki swift front of us. Next moment before we knew it, the swift started to roll back and Leon started horning and next moment ... ..Whamp...

Luckily damage wasn't that serious.
But that's not the main issue.
When gotten out of the car, guess what's the first thing she said. 3

BAD MEAN UGLY "Why did you bang my car?"

VICTIM "Dun't be ridiculous, your car rolled back and hit us. We even horned at you to alert about your car slipping back."

BAD MEAN UGLY "No, I pulled my handbrake, how can it roll back. U horned after hitting me right."

VICTIM "........." In totally digusted. Almost laughed

See how far her car rolled back ? And she got the cheek to say we bang into.

Fortunately it was just a minor scratch. Guess the matter probably be dropped.
Only time was wasted arguing with someone who's too cowardly to admit their own mistake.

I do recommend this to U all out there this.
Got it from NTUC couple days back. It's bit pricey, considering 5 bucks for like 12 small packs, and it's like abit blender than yr typical Jack and Jill chips but it hardly adds an additional millimeter to your waistlines.
It's imported from the land downunder.There's least 6 tpes flavour in all.

Got back from supper at bedok 85 after the mahjong session. The ba chor mee is really as gd as ppl says. Seems like they came out with a dry version where u pay 50cents more for lots more of the pork lard. Generally this is well received by the old folks.

So as said earlier here are some photos of the place which we're gonna be getting volunteers in to paint. The areas involved are 6 dorms and the outside wall which is to be painted with murals. Of coz if possible we wun't mind having some murals to be drawn in the dorms as well but however pity we're short of artistic drawing talent

Today was "Paint a home" PAH recee day.
Was there to clear some of the doubts we had with regards to the organization of the painting of some of the areas up.
Overall it was a fruitful, nice and fun day.
Only tiresome thing was the unloading of i think like 20 cans of 20 litres of Paint. My hands felt rougher than the floors for a moment.

I went for my HSBC interview yesterday and upon reaching school, I've like got criticized by 3 different groups of friends yesterday for my unorthodox wearing of white socks and black shoes.
Not that it was on purpose for my way of dressing but rather I just grabbed the most decent pair of socks available.

Seriously what's wrong actually ? It's a decent match with my white checkered Topshop shirt plus black pants.

So I've checked with my friend then she said that purpose of socks is meant for discretion and it's not meant to be shown out. Now I'm just hoping that my interviewers wun't penalize me on my uncotemporary socks and shoes combination.

But my skeptism still lies around.
With exception to matters of work next time, i'll make sure that my sock STANDS OUT.

So yesterday was like my 8th lesson in at alliance francaise. I still recalled my thoughts during my first few lessons was like "Did I make the right choice? Maybe I've should have gone for an easier lesson". But now things changed. Learning french is just like learning other languages, be it Spanish, Jap or what so ever. It's all about patience, practise and preaching out<3ps>.

Sure I've cracked few wise comedian acts in class, B.L. would know a few classical ones , but of cause unintentional.

So what different about french from english

The numbering system-> It's like pretty much normal for the numbers between zero to sixty but then comes to seventy to ninety, it's like saying 60 + 18 for 78 and 40+22 = 82.
Ya, takes some getting used to.

Their adjectives and nouns are like placed in opposite position as compared to English.
Credit card = Carte de credit

Female and male gender for all nouns

Had a hair cut on friday at QBee's (Guess i've got that name correct). Can't exactly rem the name.
But it's one of the nicer barbers, no. ok , hairdressers I've patroned to.
Minute u enter the shop, they greet u in Jap "Konichiwa" . So i've take my seat and ask for a short hair cut. Simple and no frills short hair cut was what i needed. Coz of the HSBC interview that's up coming for me this coming tues. So snipe snipe snipe and all guess how they cleared the dangling sniped hairs off my head and shoulders. With something that works like a vacuum cleaner. Man. I did felt like some piece of floor board for couple of moments. Innovative yes. Get rids of the hairs well. Only thing i hate is when they stuck it up your ear lobes. Almost felt that my ear drums were being sucked out. "Ouch" .
And nicely to end off your visit, they present to you a comb.

Sweet but for me, i've hardly ever use a comb to touch up.

First week of school just passed. Felt totally spaced out by this weekful of events. Feels like too much is happening in too short a week. I've been bombinate with work, activities, decision making, alot of new first steps are being embarked on by me.
Just to name a few. (Not in order of merit)
1) Drummings
2) Salsa
3) French lesson
4) Habitual reading (Just finished up Rich dad poor dad ^^)
5) Visual basic 6.0 (I'm never a strong programmer, someone help me on this)
6) Build up body (Just to look good in shirt & pants)

Seems to me I've kind of list down my New year's resolution at the same time. As I've embarked on this blog writing. Cheers**

Rem last time how frustrating it was when U try to flag down a bus just when it's departing from it's stop, the driver "unintentionally" does a blind spot check immediately glacing at u from the side of his head. And he does it for like a whole half a minute while you try to knock nicely on the door just to gather his attention.

I never thought I've saw this but I've soooo saw how this lady tries to flag down a bus 50 meters. Just simple run infront of it. Not by the side walk but right in the middle of the bus. No driver can miss it honestly. If he does miss, the lady may not live to tell anyway. But ya let's hope not anymore of these happens up ..

Man. .FYP's really getting me down here.

Hard to believe this but today was my first visit to IMH !!! (Institute of Mental Health). Yes no doubt u all muz be thinking '"This ass muz going because some babe asked him to." Sry misunderstooded padowans of mine, it's just purely for helping out the needy lonely souls there. Just wanna have a reality check and thus appreciating the bed of roses that we are on now.

But on a serious note here, they do really yearn for company and I appeal to those who are thinking of lending a helping hand out to not have 2nd thoughts and just do what your heart says. And no, we do not need to know how to take care overselves before taking care of others. I for a personal note hardly do house chores at home unless coerced to. But anyway we do not go there to clean up. We're there for interaction purposes. It kind of poses a more challenging role than going to old folks home I found. Really. We got to be ultra sensitive to what we say and ask . Ya. .totally ..And there'a need to be adaptive and able to swing the topic round if the conversation is heading the wrong way. Like how you may asked. And this is what I did.
----So I was just chatting with this old guy. Been in there like 30 plus years. My heart soften bit when I heard abt that. So we went on to topics about his family. (Seriously, it was a bad move). Then he mentioned like he's got 2 days, 4 mums. Me and ET were like oh hmm.. Okok. ..bit of a complicated childhood I supposed. So tears started welling in his eyes when he said that they were all dead already. My heart immediately shed a tear. And before I could say something to console him, he said oh well but they visit me every morning when I wake up. ET and me stared each other in the face. Ok. E-brake. DJ change the songs here. "So uncle, who's your favourite singer and what songs u like to listen to ?" ---

I recalled this one time when I was inside my Doc's office at Gleneagles.
Being the very nice doctor he is , I supposed, he started some small talk. It started off like so wassup with yr diamond ear stud. So I replied to him "Just a form of fashion statement, no sense of rebelliousness against my parents at all." Den my mum smiled smugly. So Doc Goh gave a nice side grin smile and went like do you know that some guys got to wear diamond earings on an old folk's traditional basis.

I thought to myself Hur..what's this old man talking about. On anticipating my next question, he carried on his story. "Old folks are very aware of the spiritual realm that they believe strongly in sprits. And so they believe that boys are prime targets of evil sprits attacks . At this point I was like "ok. .thanks for another reason to wear ear rings." Then I eyed my mum and gave her the look that says "seems like I've made the right choice after all." I could her just shaking a head thereafer. .
